Privacy Policy

Evolution RoofWorks LLC ("Evolution RoofWorks", "we", "us", or "our") is a licensed Oregon roofing contractor (CCB # 251336) based in Tigard, OR 97223 and serving the Portland metro area. We take your privacy seriously.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through www.evolutionroofworks.com and in the course of providing roofing services, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it — including your rights under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act. It applies to our website, our forms and instant-quote tools, and the phone, text, and email conversations we have with homeowners and property owners.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you request a free estimate, ask for a quote, contact us, or otherwise reach out, we collect what you choose to provide. That typically includes:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number.
  • The property address and city where the work would be performed.
  • The type of service you need (repair, replacement, inspection, gutters, and so on) and how urgent it is.
  • Details you write in the message field about your roof, leaks, storm damage, or project goals.
  • How you heard about us (for example, Google, a referral, or social media).
  • Photos, documents, or measurements you send us about your roof or property.
  • Insurance claim information (carrier, claim number, adjuster contact) when you ask us to help with a claim, and financing application details when you ask us to coordinate with a lending partner.

Property and roof information

Roofing work is tied to a physical address, so we also collect information about the property itself. If you use our instant-quote tool, aerial and satellite imagery of the address you enter is used to estimate your roof's size, pitch, and material. During an inspection or a job, we take photographs and measurements of the roof, attic, gutters, and surrounding structure. We use these for estimating, documenting conditions before and after the work, warranty records, insurance supporting documentation, and training — and, in de-identified or address-free form, sometimes in project galleries and marketing. We do not publish identifiable photos of your home alongside your name or address without your permission.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically receive standard technical information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view and how long you spend on them, and an approximate geographic location derived from your IP address. This is gathered through cookies and the analytics tools described below.

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your inquiry and prepare an estimate or quote.
  • To schedule inspections and installations, coordinate crews and material deliveries, and confirm appointments.
  • To perform the work, manage your project, and communicate updates, delays, or weather changes.
  • To invoice you, process payment, and administer financing you apply for through a partner.
  • To register and honor manufacturer and workmanship warranties, and to service warranty claims years later.
  • To support an insurance claim when you ask us to work with your carrier or adjuster.
  • To follow up after a job, request a review, and — if you have opted in — send occasional maintenance reminders or promotions.
  • To improve our website, understand which pages and campaigns bring homeowners to us, and measure advertising performance.
  • To detect and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse of our forms.
  • To meet our legal, licensing, tax, and Oregon Construction Contractors Board recordkeeping obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims.

Calls, Text Messages, and Email

When you provide your phone number on one of our forms, you consent to receive text messages from us at that number, including transactional updates about your request, estimate, appointments, and project, as well as marketing and promotional messages. You also agree that we may call you about your request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from us.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us, or HELP for assistance. You can opt out of marketing email using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message, or by emailing us. We may still contact you about an active project, a scheduled appointment, a payment, or a warranty matter after you opt out of marketing.

We do not share mobile phone numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers are shared only with the vendors that help us deliver our own messages, and only for that purpose.

We may record or keep notes of customer service calls for quality, training, and accuracy of the job record, where permitted by law.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality, for measurement, and to help us reach homeowners who may need roofing work. The tools currently in use include:

  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager — to measure site traffic and understand how visitors navigate our pages.
  • Vercel Analytics and Vercel BotID — our hosting provider's privacy-oriented traffic measurement and invisible bot detection, which protects our forms from automated spam.
  • Roofle Roof Quote Pro — the instant-quote widget that generates a preliminary roof price from your address. Information you enter there is processed by Roofle on our behalf and sent to us as a lead.
  • Advertising and conversion tags — from time to time we run ads on Google and Meta platforms and use their tags to measure which ads produce estimate requests, and to show our ads to people who have visited our site.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google's browser opt-out add-on. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the site function. Ad personalization can also be limited through your Google and Meta account settings.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Browsers vary in how they signal tracking preferences. Where we are required to do so under Oregon law, we honor a valid Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of targeted advertising and any sale of personal data.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's independent marketing. We share it only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers who operate our business on our behalf — website hosting, email delivery, scheduling and CRM software, estimating and measurement tools, analytics, payment processing — under agreements that require them to protect your information and use it only for us.
  • Crews, subcontractors, and suppliers who need your address and project details to perform or supply the work.
  • Manufacturers, to register your materials and system warranties in your name.
  • Insurance carriers, adjusters, and public adjusters, only when you ask us to coordinate with them on a claim.
  • Financing partners, only when you choose to apply for financing through us. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.
  • Property owners, HOAs, or property managers, where the work requires their authorization or approval.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or court order; to comply with our licensing and CCB obligations; or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and protect the rights and safety of our customers, crews, and company.
  • Business transfers — if our business is sold or merged, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Third-Party Sites and Platforms

Our site links to and embeds third-party services, including our Google Business Profile reviews, social media pages, and video players. Those companies collect information under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. If you post a public review or comment about us, it is public — please do not include sensitive personal details.

Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above and as long as the law requires. In practice:

  • Estimate and quote requests that do not become jobs are kept for a limited period for follow-up and then removed from active systems.
  • Completed project records — contracts, inspection photos, material and installation details — are kept for the life of the applicable workmanship and manufacturer warranties, which on a roof can run 25 to 50 years. We need those records to honor a warranty claim decades after the work.
  • Financial and tax records are kept for the periods required by Oregon and federal law.
  • Analytics data is retained on the schedule set in the tools described above.

How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections on our website, access controls that limit customer records to the people who need them, and vetted vendors. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet. Please do not send sensitive information such as full financial account numbers or a Social Security number by email or through a website form.

Your Privacy Rights

Oregon residents have rights under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, and residents of other states may have similar rights. Subject to verification and legal exceptions, you may:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal data and request a copy of it, including a list of the categories of third parties we have disclosed it to.
  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal data.
  • Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Obtain your data in a portable, readily usable format.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and profiling with legal or similarly significant effects.
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave, including consent to marketing calls, texts, and email.

To exercise a right, email info@evolutionroofworks.com or call (971) 500-6941 and tell us what you would like us to do. We will verify your identity — usually by confirming details already in your project record — and respond within 45 days, with one 45-day extension where reasonably necessary. There is no charge for a reasonable request. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

Note that some information cannot be deleted: we must retain contracts, permits, warranty records, and financial records that Oregon law and our licensing obligations require us to keep, and doing so is what allows us to honor your warranty.

Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing us with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond within 45 days. If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to the Oregon Department of Justice at justice.oregon.gov/consumercomplaints or by calling the Oregon DOJ Consumer Hotline.

Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults who own or manage property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services, tools, or legal obligations change. The current version is always posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted here, and where required by law we will obtain your consent.
